FLY ME TO THE MOON
(Bart Howard) Hampshire House Publishing Corp., ASCAP
Piano: DT Sax: Steve Horton recorded in 1982 some funky cheap studio.

This was recorded one day out of frustration. I just needed to sing.
It came out so soul-ful and I love it! Genya and Valen*on backround in tag.

202 RIVINGTON STREET
(Genya Ravan) Recorded live at the Bottom Line1981

Please pardon the bloopers, but it's live and it's from the heart I think these are probably the most honest lyrics I have ever written, also the last lyric I wrote. (So far....)

DON'T LET ME DOWN
(Words and Music John Lennon Paul McCartney)
Mike Thorne played everything also Uptown Horns.
Recorded at Stereo Society Studio's 1989

This is one of my favorites of the Beatles songs. Mike Thorne called me said he had an idea... it was to sing some Beatles songs for his project. I did five songs. This is one of my favorites. You will hear the rest at some point.

RATTLE SNAKE SHAKE
(Originally recorded by Fleetwood Mac) 1979
Recorded at Media Sound during rehearsal.
Piano: Charlie Giordano drums: Bobby Chen guitar: Conrad Taylor

We were auditioning guitar players but it had so much magic and singing about masturbation was fun, it's an early Fleetwood song I wanted you to
hear this.

TO KEEP YOU SATISFIED
(Marvin Gaye)
Recorded at Media Sound 1978. Engineer: Harvey Goldberg

This song gives me the chills. It's one of the best songs Marvin ever wrote.
Listen to these lyrics.

ANYWAY THAT YOU WANT ME
(Chip Taylor (Blackwood Music BMI)
Recorded at Media Sound,1978. Engineer: Harvey Goldberg

I love this song and had to sing it.

SOMETHING'S GOT A HOLD ON ME
Recorded in some funky studio in London with Long John Baldry and me.

Long John is a dear friend of mine. I love his voice, how can you not! We had such a ball doing this, it was unplanned. Back round: Thunder Thighs they did the back round for Lou Reed's "Take a Walk On the Wild Side". I loved their sound.Recorded in 1978

TWO STEPS FROM THE BLUES
(James Brown, Deadric Malon) Leon Publishing BMI
Piano: Charlie Giordano. Recorded at a rehearsal at Media Sound 1978

It's just another song I had to sing.

EASY EVIL 1978
Same London session as above.

NIGHT FLIGHT
(Genya Ravan) 1981)
Recorded in the Taylor's Basement in Long Island Back Round, Denice & Genya. Guitars: Connie Taylor, Bass: Walter Libero overdubbed 2001 Violins: Owen Swenson

CARRY ME CARRIE
(Shel Silverstein) Evil Eye BMI 1978
Chorus "Martin Luther King Choir", Piano: Charlie Giordano, Drums: Bobby Chen Guitars: Conrad Taylor and Richard Fliegler, Bass: Paul Opalach

This cut was supposed to be on the Urban Desire record, there was no room.

RECONSIDER
(Joe Droukas and Peter Salomon) 2001
Recorded at Pyramid Studios NYC

Joe and Peter felt strongly that I cut this song, I agreed with them, I said "on one condition"! Joe sings it with me, so here it is folks, one of the latest.

TAKE ME FOR A LITTLE WHILE
(Written by Trade Martin. Trade Martin Music BMI) 2001
Recorded at Headroom Studios NYC engineered and mixed by Jerry Plotkin & old pal Al Varner. Piano: Dennis Dibrizzi Guitar: Jamie Bannon Bass: Peter Scance, Drums: Bobby Chen, Organ: Jerry Plotkin

We never rehearsed this song, the band came in and we started playing, then recorded on the spot, this is what happens when you work with super musicians. I miss that.
(Thank you Bobby for making this session happen)
