GINGER BIANCO

Ginger Bianco, co-founder of Goldie & The Gingerbreads, has been a professional drummer since the mid-sixties. Her career began with America's Goldie & The Gingerbreads, who have the distinction of being the first all-female rock band to be signed by a major label (Atlantic in America and Decca in Britain) and to chart in the U.K. Their 1964 hit "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat" made the top 25 in the U.K., prompting Herman's Hermits to release their own highly successful version in the U.S. Goldie & The Gingerbreads lived in and toured Europe for two years with such groups as The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Kinks and The Animals.

Upon her return to the U.S., she co-founded the ground-breaking all-female horn band, Isis (Buddah). This band toured extensively throughout the U.S. with such groups as Kiss, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Three Dog Night, Leon Russell and The Beach Boys. They played such venues as the Orange Bowl, Nassau Coliseum and Town Hall; and were the first act to open the restored Beacon Theatre in the late seventies.

Returning to the industry a couple of years ago, Ginger has been actively writing and playing select dates.
